How To Do Abductor Massages On A Vibration Plate

Similarly to the adductor massage, this abductor massage exercise helps to reduce tension and stress in the upper thigh muscles. It is simple to perform and works well as part of a cool down after your work out. The abductor muscles are commonly worked when exercising, they are used when running, cross training, almost all workouts that have an element of leg exercise use these muscles.

Instructions for Abductor Massage:

Place the soft accessory mat on the vibration plate and lie down at the front of the vibration plate. Lift your body at the hips to curl around the contour of the plate.

Curl both of your arms around your stomach and lift the top leg onto the flat surface of the vibration plate. Ensure that your spine is not twisted and use a folded towel or something similarly comfortable to support your head if necessary.

Hold this position for a minimum of 30 seconds and a maximum of 90 seconds. Stop when you feel you have achieved a satisfactory massage.

As well as using this exercise as part of your exercise routine it is also great for helping your body to recover from injuries. It can work as a form of physio for your strained muscles.
